William Oakes

Marketing Assistant

Will is TGAS’ all-around go-to person regarding marketing, promotion, photography, videography and telling a good story, having brought experience in all those fields with him when he joined TGAS in November 2023. Since then, the firm has benefited greatly from his film, television and media production skills and his more than five years of experience consulting camera teams, assisting high level executives, designing films and managing teams. His goal at TGAS is to make an impact in our local communities by connecting our city officials with great designers. Will also directed the award-winning 2018 film “Close to Home,” in which a boy and his father see the boy’s grandmother for the last time. His degree in film, television and media from Fairfield University will also hold him in good stead as TGAS broadens its media visibility. He previously built replicas of famous buildings for movie sets in Massachusetts. He got tired of building the fake stuff and wanted to use his skills to make the real thing!

Learning more about our local communities and how we can solve their biggest issues is what motivates Will to work hard. I.M. Pei is very inspiring to me. He faced many hardships early in his life, but was still able to find the drive and resolve to become a great architect. On the side, Will loves music, having played in the Fairfield University Pep Band and Jazz Band and the Tabor Academy Wind Ensemble. He spends his summers sailing and his winters skiing. He is also an avid woodworker, photographer, and cook, and his life goal one day is to build his own house from start to finish.
