Boston EMS Facility

Building Support After Tragedy

Description

This 11-bay Advanced Life Support and Basic Life Support facility won a 2019 German Design Award. It is a very capable, highly durable, efficient station that houses some of the most critical vehicles in the City of Boston, including the Mass Casualty buses, communications equipment and other specialty vehicles Homeland Security gifted Boston with. Our design had to accommodate those crucial needs, and did so in the most cost-effective manner. The hardened building houses critical vehicles, thus security was a high priority for the city. The project bid was below budget, was built on schedule, functions perfectly, and won several national and international design awards, including the aforementioned German Design Award.
