Cambridge City Hall
Cambridge, MA
Cambridge City Hall is a classic example of Richardsonian Romanesque architecture, designed in 1888 by Longfellow, Alden & Harlow. It has lived many lives over the past century and a quarter, thanks to periodic restoration, updating, and related projects. Our ongoing work with the City of Cambridge focuses on restoring this celebrated civic building in careful doses to make certain everything is done to original, exacting standards.Recently we restored portions of the interior by excavating 125 years of paint to find the original colors. After many mockups, testing and careful work with the Cambridge Historic Commission, we were able to bring Period Specific colors, textures, and finishes back to life for the 21st Century.
